The Institute of GeoEnergy (FORTH/IG) conducts research to support climate goals and sustainable energy practices, with a focus on environmentally responsible resource management. Through the BLUEQ Project, it contributes to Blue Carbon research by conducting geochemical analyses of carbon stocks and sources in Posidonia meadows, while promoting the protection and restoration of Blue Carbon Ecosystems as a nature-based solution to climate change in collaboration with local stakeholders.
